My reimaging of the final boss of the first Sly Cooper game.

Backstory (Part 2 of 2, That's right! We're going even further back in the next Clockwerk picture!) :The tables had turned and now no Cooper was safe. Clockwerk, with his mechanical body, was after them all and he would succeed in ending many of them before all Coopers fled into the shadows. No longer could they be famous thieves they once were to the world and had to hide from “The Winged Terror” and came to see him as a family curse. For centuries, Clockwerk managed to find and kill many Coopers until only a few were left in the world. As the world modernized in the 20th century, Clockwerk could no longer go out in the open as there were more ways to see him and importantly more ways to hurt him, so he had to go into hiding.

Creating a base of his former volcano home of Krakarov, Clockwerk had to come to the thought that he could no longer operate alone. He needed allies that would act in his stead and when needed, they would come together to defeat all their enemies and take what they desired. Collecting four other special people for his group, they would eventually call themselves the Fiendish Five. Clockwerk earned the trust of his teammates by giving them each their desires and they would follow his command. Years later, Clockwerk found the home of the last remaining Coopers and told his team that they were going after an enemy of his, Connor Cooper. On the fateful night, the Cooper Home was attacked and the Fiendish Five killed Connor and his wife, Maria. Connor’s son, Sly, would escape the home which was on fire and while the boy was running off into the night, Clockwerk took to the skies and saw him. The owl was ready to finally end the Coopers once and for all, but with his victory so close at hand, Clockwerk had a revelation. If the Coopers are all gone, then what would the rest of his life mean ? Clockwerk was immortal and he dedicated most of his life to ending the Cooper line, with them gone, would his life lose all meaning ? This existential crisis led Clockwerk to letting Sly escape. When he rejoined his allies, Clockwerk saw his group had been slightly broken by this experience. Raleigh was fine, Muggshot was more concerned with his business, Rubier died and came back as a voodoo zombie, and Pan Daking couldn’t hide his conflict about what they just did. After this night, Fiendish Five operations would become more rare as time went on and Clockwerk would spend more time at this volcano lair, waiting for Sly to come of age and to return to settle the score.

Years later, one by one, the Fiendish Five were defeated and Clockwerk knew that Sly was coming for them and so the owl prepared. A surprise intruder in the form of Carmelita Fox would almost throw a cog into Clockwerk’s plans, but the bird captured her and knew from surveillance footage that Sly took a liking to this vixen, so she would be a trap for Sly to fall into. When Sly arrived at Krakarov Volcano, he eluded Clockwerk’s traps and defeated Clockwerk’s forces before falling into the trap with Carmelita and finally encountering the villainous bird after so many years. When Sly wanted to know why he went after the Coopers, Clockwerk recounted his tale and even told of that fateful night at the Cooper Home where his way of thinking changed. He hated the Coopers, but he needed them. He needed them to give his life of rage and vengeance meaning, so Sly was let go so that he could continue the Cooper lineage and give Clockwerk more Coopers to hunt down in the centuries to come. Sly was disgusted at this reveal and vowed that he’d never willingly go along with such a plan. Clockwerk stated that it didn’t matter as he’d invested in advanced genetic science and could clone Sly to create many Coopers and after taking the Thievius Raccoonus from the trapped Sly, the clones would be trained in the same way as him and be nothing more than prey for Clockwerk. Bentley and Murray managed to get Sly and Carmelita free and the thief and cop would team up to defeat Clockwerk. The final battle was about to commence and the fate of the Coopers was on the line.

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Omnilinguisitc (Clockwerk knows over 40 languages), Hyperthymesia (ability to recall past events in great detail), and great Intelligence (though not as smart as Raleigh or Bentley).

Equipment: Clockwerk possesses an advanced robotic body that is durable to many weaponry and can only be damaged by heavy artillery. Among all of Clockwerk's weapons are optic lasers, missiles, electro-rings, and his talons along with his wing blades. Inside Clockwerk's machine body, there is a mysterious yellow crystal that seems to power it.
