With half their group gone, the remaining children went on trying to keep themselves safe, resisting any trick or temptation that came along their way. While walking through, The Filmous Confectionarium, Mike was getting distracted by all the TV screens, even if they were just showing different candies. Eventually, Mikey got separated from the group and encountered a TV headed creature much like how his costume looked. It displayed a hypnotic screen which started to suck the soul right out of Mikey and make it go through different channels. The more channels he goes through the more his body was turning to Pop Rocks. Willem and children found Mikey and smashed the TV. Unfortunately his soul was lost forever and the eyes and hands of his body turned to rock candy and was then dragged off by TV cables.

Contessa plucked his rock candy eyes out and chopped his rock candy hands off for one of the final pieces of her dark purpose.
