In many hidden forests and swamps around the world you can find very special creatures, some that even were once written off as myth. In one of these swamps, there lives a golden Froggish, a special species of frog that is bigger than a regular frog, can stand up upright, and is as intelligent as humans. This special Froggish was Willik and he was special because he was the first golden froggish in centuries to be born and his color is a sign of great things to come in his life. In his teen year Willik saw from afar a girl who wandered through the swamp and took in all that wonders that everyone else found gross. Taking a leap of faith, Willik revealed himself, yet the girl didn't flee like part of him was afraid would happen. This girl's name was Cessily and she was amazed by Willik. Over the years, Willik and Cessily became the best of friends and had many adventures in the swamp. For Willik, friendship turned into infatuation and he wished he could be something more with Cessily. A witch appeared before him, hearing the desires that his heart was screaming to the heavens (as she put it). She gave him an offer, give up a piece of himself and a great change can occur to allow him be with Cessily. Willik wondered if such a thing could be possible and wondered if the witch wouldn't go back on her word later on. The witch seeing his hesitation told him maybe he didn't want to live with his true love and Willik accepted the offer. A drop of his blood was taken and from it, a golden sphere was formed. The witch told him that he needs to give it to Cessily and a great change would occur that would let them be together. Later on Willik gave the sphere to Cessily and suddenly she was no longer a human, but a Froggish, just like Willik. Willik and Cessily ran to Willik's village to consult his wise grandpa on this matter but found that the Froggish village was empty. Before they had time to speculate where everyone was, the witch appeared. She had just taken her price for the spell, his entire village. She said that she needed a part of him and since he considered everyone in the village family, they were a part of him emotionally, and up for grabs. When told that he thought the blood was the price, she told him that it went right back to him in the form of the sphere, so her price still was unpaid. Willik's final response was that the sphere didn't work right, it was suppose to change him into a human, but the witch never promised that, she said a great change would occur, not to who specifically. Willik was so quick to get what he wanted that he didn't consider how vague the witches original words were. The witch disappeared and left the Froggish alone. Willik was devastated, but Cessily kept hope alive with her words of how together they would save Willik's family and villagers and that they'd find the witch and make her turn Cessily back. Willick secretly didn't want that last part, but there were bigger matters to deal with and he couldn't be selfish. Now, Willik and Cessily journey the world to find any clues to the witch's home and nothing will stop them.

This is the last contest winner of my Monstrosities contest by rizegreymon22 . I made a few changes in look and story to fit my Monstrosities universe and give the Frog Prince more of a warrior prince look to him. If you wanna see the original story, check the original drawing.
