I spent twenty minutes looking at this pic trying to re-call where this part was even from in my story! 
Umm...I'll take a wild guess and say when Luke was having nightmares and crying for his mom,...but every time Layton tried to help Luke could not be satisfied cause he needed his mothers love not a father. .....right before they went to Dropstone right..??
