This is dedicated to all my Fantasy Devwatchers who have been patiently waiting for me to get a life, stop doing freaky @ss Dark Art vampires and wierd Giger stuff and return to the reason they watched me in the first place.so...
Moon Song. Created in Poser and Photoshop over 2 hours. Probably much too dark blah blah blah... whatever. Fun to do, not 100% accurate, but I think you get the jist of it

I don't normally go for pre-rendered stuff like this (or whatever you call it, 3D things, dunno, it's almost 3 AM... XD) but I thought this picture was too beautiful not to fave. Excellent work with the lighting and atmosphere! Those blues and greens are perfect, and the dragon's pose is very powerful without being in-your-face.

Gorgeous i really love the texturing on the moon along with the cloud formation around it and the nice moon glow , your dragons are just plain awsome 100% of the time so nothing else i can say there

This has reminded me, quite sharply, of a scene that I was supposed to write for the fantasy novel that my friends and I are working on.
It reminds me of how the Dragons (which are my domain in our group) announce to the world that they have chosen a lifemate: they raise their voices in song, honoring their beloved, their kindred, and all the world, thanking them for helping them to find their lifemate.
Again, a beautiful piece. Excellent work.

Dude, seriously... that's amazing.
It doesn't even look rendered, it looks like the most amazing painting in existence. The pose is so natural (well... as natural as dragon's can get, I guess) yet so dynamic, and the dark colouring gives some bits a glow, almost. I especially like the way the moon comes out of the dragon's wings - very symbolic and all, la.
I love the restricted palette on this one, too - the cold blues, the purple, the hints of green. It makes the picture very cold, very crisp and really gives off a sense of some-other-place-ness.
To sum up, basically, this picture could probably inspire me to right a book for it.

Looks like one that would be worthy of a print to me. As far as being too dark, I disagree. The dark tones bring out the light of the moon and it's illuminating effect on the dragon. The only thing I'm not sure of is if I like the contrast between the dark sky and the cloudy (dare I say daytime?) sky directly beneath it. I think it would have stayed much truer to the theme if it had all been dark. The clouds themselves look awesome though!
