It is fantastic to see the wallpaper master still pushing the boundaries of his talents.
The 3d illustrated design here is a refreshing direction for your wallpapers to move into.

Personally I think all the elements work well but I think that the electric theme could have been concentrated on more. When electric springs to mind (although an IT Administrator I'm an electrician by trade) I think of glowing arcs and sparks which I think would make this become more alive. The colour suites your gallery perfectly e.deviantart.com/emoticons/n/nā€¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Nod" />

I would love to see you develop more work in this direction.

In its entirety, this piece reeks of "playing around in Illustrator." That's not necessarily a bad thing; I just get the sense that this was less motivated by you wanting to create a certain thing and more motivated by you wanting to see what could be done with Illustrator. It's true that throughout history, I'm certain there have been countless brilliant artworks which we appreciate today but were originally just "some guy playing around with oil paint." So to that end, I think this piece is quite nice.

It has an interesting sense of balance, where the most visually complex area on the left JUSTAPOSES against the visually empty space on the right and ends up balancing itself out simply via focal point. Well, when I say "focal point" I'm mostly referring to the multitude of focal points, or rather the apparent lack of a singular focal point. Again, not necessarily a bad thing, but it does become a bit distracting when my eye is drawn to a wide array of different-but-similar shapes and colors. I guess my suggestion here would've been to select a specific object and give it an unorthodox color so it gave the eye a comfortable and easy starting point.

Since this was mostly an Illustrator play-fest, I think you could've explored more use of the spiral shape. It's quite versatile if you learn how to use it properly.

Lastly, the red motif is nice, but your artwork (your entire catalog) is choc-full of red/maroon tones. If something in your gallery isn't red, it's a warm color. I'd like to see some more branching-out into cooler, even icy tones. I know it's not a matter of ability, but more a matter of what pops into your head at 2am.

Overall, really interesting work. Look I wrote 302 words!

I would of made the stringy lines a luminous golden to convey the electric theme

nice work, but I would play around a bit with the background colours till finding something to lift out the actual illustration. I feel as if it is a bit lost in too much redness.
Never the less great work.

Whoa at that critique you received.

Overall I dig it, I enjoy the vibe and energy. Kind of makes me want to go clubbing with Keith, who does not enjoy clubbing. I guess I can imagine we're clubbing.
