So I thought Id draw a picture with ponies on the peach playing and stuff I think i did it ok here:3time taken? no idea. but I recorded the whole thing and it took like 4 days of work.
Tia is like I forgot my tiara at home plz can I borrow yours?
Edit: Celestia grew a pair of wings.... cant believe she forgot to bring them with her to this ocation.

well I do know theres many things not quite right here. yet I really like how this one looks it has a nice surreal look to it.
and yes water reflections are the character flipped if your not looking from a frog perspective and look more straight on its different in this current perspective tho since we would see a bit more of the undersides of the ponies in the reflection.
its kind of a pain to paint realistic reflections so many times i just use the colors in a similiar pattern which looks pretty neat. anyway the further away from the character the reflections gets more transparent and kinda disappears. I dont think i went for any realism here.
Besides as you said its old
I also like to make corners darker becase thats what actually happen but i mey gone overboard
anyway the viwer is the camera and everything further away from the light where it directly hits recieve less light. that does include left and right.
basicly the light from sun hit sand bounces to eye. the further it travels the dimmer it gets. it does taper off quickly when its just the bounce light.
and yes the values on the sand is wrong as well as the colors for the current setting

Wow, I really wish I could paint something so complex like this one. The beach background is absolutely well done, especially the reflection of the sky from the sea and the waves. I also really like that you also give a green tint to the water to show some kind of salinity in it, and that it's not completely clean water. However, I also felt that the background is not completely flat on the earth, if you look at the way how the grass is drawn at the top left side. Don't worry, I also struggle with this xD
As for the ponies, they are also very well done and shaded, as you can tell where the sun is coming from. They are also very detailed, as you can see in their manes and tails. However, I thought that they could have been a little brighter since they are playing under the sun. The highlights could have been made slightly brighter. Other than that, everything looks perfect. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see you again streaming ^^

Hey thanks for critiquing my work
and naturally it never gets much brighter than that sun alone is never strong enough light source to bring anything other than base value white to close white range in brightness.
And I believe you can do it write down what you want to include look at images gather references and practice your weaknesses. if you need you can study the colors from photographs.
For instance you want say 10 ponies playing think what would they do write that down will there be any objects in the scene? if so what items? study size relationships
reference poses and draw many gestures keep in mind the anatomy so look at horse anatomy for its good to know how at least the joints mey bend even the spine to get more natural poses. or learn poses thru trial and error just draw it 100-1000 times
I usually google Mlp gestures to get inspiration to what I could try might work for you
read up the reflective properties of objects and after you've done all this you can apply it to a painting
when I'm on stream I work thru intuition mostly but that's because I believe those who are watching don't want to watch me practice every thing on stream and do all the boring work:3 basically what I draw on stream is only things I have drawn a lot before.

its nice but i see you drawing ponies way to often. Why not change it up a bit and try drawing something else? This can help improve on your style and makes it have more variety, i mean im not a fan of mlp but its just something you can try.

thank you^^ but ofcourse I have to draw ponies a lot because that's my main source of income selling merch with ponies on atm... but I do draw a lot of other things on the side, and put together a painting with ponies on that include things ive drawn a lot . and right now I'm drawing a lot of figure drawing but I don't feel its good enough.
I have also only drawn for a little over 3 years so I'm still trying to break out of my comfort zone.
its one thing to say draw something else and another thing to enjoy it for its way harder to do something you don't like doing
so far I prefer ponies and Creatures.
