Description Marco Montes was an Earthling chieftain who chose to save his family over the townspeople he swore to protect, during the Djinn invasion that led to the First Crusade. Consumed by guilt and a desire for revenge and redemption, he joins Moon King Sargon's mission to kill the Djinn Emperor. Despite being disliked by the Lunarians due being an Earthling, Marco Montes earns their trust with his resolve, and is granted a magical armor to assist Sargon II's elite squad. This leads him to fight the mighty Djinn Prince, Ieti Shayatin, who will bring much misery to his family in the future. After securing Ieti's heart, Marco helps rebuild the ravaged cities of Earth, over time amassing a huge fortune, unwittingly aided by the Djinn's magic.

Marco is the patriarch of the Montes dynasty, a large family that plays a major role in the story. His wife Amelia, who suffers from dementia in her elder years; two children, Marco II and Nathan, the first a successful businessman who fathers both Nadia and Marco III, the second a quiet man capable of performing ice magic due to the influence of Ieti Shayatin's heart. His family will come to be haunted by Ieti Shayatin upon his return, many decades after his defeat.

I'm pretty proud of this drawing, I think it portrays the emotions I wanted to express really well. I'm starting to achieve the look I want for this comic book.

I love the armor! Very clean shadows, which is rare to find with hatching!

I think it's thanks to the clean line inking I've been practicing that now, when I want to use hatching again, it improves the shading instead of flattening the drawing like it used to.
