Description Every good archdemon isn't without a good archangel rival. To combat against Azazel, Emissary of Conquest, we have Israfil, Patron of Fortune and one of the closest angels to God himself. He receives his namesake from the Islamic counterpart to the angel Raphael. Much like his namesake, Israfil has the ability to heal humans of various plagues or afflictions. One could say that being assisted by Israfil means a person is very fortunate, which is why his human form is adorned with the symbols used for the suits in a deck of cards. I chose to name him after this particular angel because Raphael was asked by God to deal with Azazel and seal him away until Armageddon where he would be sent to an eternity of hellfire. I'm not 100% sure if I'll be including him in the magic-based RP I'm working on to fight against Azazel, but if I do it would make for a grand encounter.

With the possibility of my including him in this RP, I'll gladly give a little bit more information about him. Israfil is able to manipulate natural energy at his will, meaning he has the power to call upon the energy of any living entity on the planet. Other aspects of this type of magic can lead to being able to manipulate souls and even celestial bodies themselves. However, when in his human form he has limitations with his abilities and primarily uses his power to heal living entities of ailments or injuries and is able to provide other magic users with a boost of energy from a single touch. When on the human world he can typically be seen resting upon a throne that was carved to look as though it has multiple angelic wings, how convenient given the placement of them. Much like his Biblical counterpart, he is tasked with the role of banishing Azazel and other demons from the human world and will stop at nothing to fulfill his duty, even if it means turning on his brethren.

Israfil and the artwork are owned by me.
