This drawing is inspired by a conversion I overheard. A large girl was talking about how a pretty girl she knew was so sad and miserable. She had tried committing suicide, even though she was so pretty and skinny. She seemed suprised as she said it.It made me kind of think about how people see one another. One is certain, skinny(as a lot see as "perfect") people can be just as sad and miserable. Regardless of how you look there'll always be something to hold yourself up against and measure yourself to.
Pretty hurts too...
I wanted to create something simple, with the focus on her eyes. I really like 'simple' these days.

SELF STORY:
My mother is...pretty fat, and every time i look at her i think "Could i ever really end up looking like that?" I weigh 135 pound and i'm only 14. Average weight right? To me that's fat. Everyone in school is so skinny and they have all the friends and supposed love/like from everyone. I have few to no friends. Only a bf that i'm so damn lucky to have found so young. (back on task) everyday i wonder am i to fat? Should i do more push-ups today? even as i'm typing this i'm sucking in my belly thinking of all of these super models and such.

I agree, because I can relate. I have spent most of my life feeling unattractive and depressed because most people believe that looks are everything, but it's not true. what shows are true beauty is what we show to others inside and then are true side comes out, and that's what attracts people. Yes looks do count but if you look away from all the perfection and conformity you'll see that the flaws are what makes us unique and beautiful. I know this, because of the delusion I saw myself as was never true, because I've had many people tell me I'm very handsome. It's just from all the pressure of conformity and insecurity that made me believe I wasn't attractive. In the end though I found that my looks is not whats important, what's important is your confidence and being happy with who you are.

bahhh...fuck perfect...Im "skinny" and its fine I consider it more as fit...I hate shit that goes on like that...its pertty sad...I have a friend that thinks shes fat and ugly...bu she's beautiful in many different ways, and shes totally not fat. so my word is in.
