Description
This is a drawing using my pretty girl friend, Anja-Amanda, as model. I wanted to capture her thoughtful expression and create her in natural colours. It's from a photoshoot I did with her early August. The light was coming in through the window very strong and created very little shading. I wanted to maintain that feel and keep it light.I worked a lot on the colours and capturing the right expression.
I also tried making the hair look less glamorous and more natural.
Made with soft pastels.

The colours, hair, skin - everything looks so real and it has something more special what is comming through the drawing.
Maybe it's because this work is fully yours - i mean, you took the photo, you know the model and the drawing is yours.

Successful on all counts! Especially the lighting, it's very evident that she is standing in front of a large bright window. There is always a lot of expression in your subjects, that's a lot of what makes your work special.
