I'm not sure if they do or not, but basically Code'e has never had friends who understand why she is the way she is until Lopmon came around. He loves her more than she even knows and vice versa. They do a complicated relationship though~

Li and Terriermon are sort of like that too. Li had never really had friends outside of her family because she got to nervous around people to talk to them normally. Terriermon (and Kokomon too, but he cried a lot when they first met) was the only one that understood what she actually meant when she said things that came off a bitchy.
They are besties for life.
