Description

This is a really personal piece to me, almost to the point of being fine art. On the outside, it's a kind of "virtual artificial life ecosystem" (VALE) which forms a kind of emergent intelligence. It's an interface of sorts, a kind of visual programming. I will explain how it works more in the future! (Since this one started out as a style test, conveying meaning was not the primary goal.)
The more personal side of this is that I see shapes like this in my mind's eye, constantly, in both 2D and 3D. I have synesthesia, so this is kind of a personal expression of what I see when thinking, although more elaborate. (I feel like I've wanted to get this image out for half my life!) The sci fi scenario is a re-skin of how I see my own mind.
