Sadly, the nearest happening for this event is going to be a few states away. I'll be very interested to see how Repossession Mambo (I call it that because otherwise I'll confuse myself) actually fares. If I had to guess, it'll peak early and drop off. I'm somewhat interested to check it out just to see where they go. I'm sad to say that it looks an awful lot like the same direction which only adds to my disappointment for various reasons. I do find it amusing that I decided to re-watch Repo! this weekend.
I did realize this, however. There is enough overlap between the two films that the companies, GeneCo and the Union, could easily occupy the same universe. Because of this, I've decided that I absolutely must pen a Repo/Repo crossover fanfic. Repo 2! Genetic Bankrupcy. It could totally work.

I'm still upset about them redoing it though because Repo the Genetic Opera barely made bank, and didn't sell well, but now their advertising this new film as a high action box office film.

It's from a different company too. They are claiming to have done the idea first, but REPO OPERA! has been out much longer than the "book" for this film has.
The 19th will be great though, because REPO OPEA! will be in theaters nationwide. (so no one has to go see that other movie
