Description I'm not sure which sections should I post this... hope I didn't post in the wrong section...

Well, the drawing was done 5 months ago... I've submitted in gaia but I guess not much people likes this type of drawing... So I decide to post it here... a larger version!!

I've to cropped it and stretch it larger in order to changed the hairstyle, clothes and background... I've removed the frame so that you can see the bg. Love the background, it's bamboo forest. Feels like chinese novels image... Lol. Oh, he has the power to control the wind... His eyes are actually purple!! yup! purple!! Loves his eyes!! He's one of my fantasy characters... This the the original layer... the one in gaia was actually more dreamy and lighter in colors.. because I added screen and softlight... all done in ps...

I still see mistake especially the hand!!! Arghhh.... So huge... lol. body is very stiff too...

Anyway.... It's actually a repainted piece. Here is the old painting that I've thrown aside... (give up piece) Click here [link] It's an unfinish piece from January 2005. I wanted paint a chinese man but I failed to do so... Hideous huh?

As others have commented, the eyes are really stunning. The nose is also well done. I think you have a touch for portraiture... keep it up!

thank you very much! ya, I really love his eyes, it’s the best eyes I ever paint. But I'm not really so good at portrait... I think perhaps it’s because I painted it in ps... ps helps out a lot. That’s why it looks okay… (I guess? )

To me, it seems the "stiffness" is in the fact that he was caught just spinning to face you and shut the fan. So it's appropriate, I think.

The size of the hand could be simply the closeness to the field of vision, it doesn't overshadow the overall image. Gives more of a sense of proportion, in fact.

I love glittery, so that always amuses me!

I do like the style of painting. I wouldn't mind seeing a tutorial on how you achieve that

lol ah~! Thanks for your comment! you almost explain it so detailed that I never even thought of! ( ) I'm so bad in expressing my arts or other people arts... maybe you're right about his hand too.

yup, I love to add those white sparkles in most of my drawings… perhaps the background was too plain or I just love it so much…. Lol a tutorial of this style…. Hmmm…I’ll take note… may consider making one of these… but my bad English, I don’t think people will understand much… lol

Ah hey, if you want help with that kind of thing, cleaning up the English, I wouldn't mind at all doing so with you. It'd be totally worth it, I think, to share your style with others. (Like my greedy self.)

As far as the expressing, it's mostly about rolling with your first feelings of the piece. Don't think too hard, and just lay out what you saw. Like, "That sign was red, but too small." That kinda thing really helps you train your brain into what you can say to help. Or else I'm just deluded. But that's what I do!

lol thank you I really loved his eyes so much. but I think his hand is big... Nah... other people can draw better people than me... I only rely on the ps to make it more realistic lookin'.... I added the white spots to let it look more special... because the bg seems too dull.... thanks once a again!!
