I've really been inspired to do a few more sketches of my Gemsona Citrine , especially after I allowed Pun-Master2 to use her for his fan fic Striking Magnesite (which is a little too dark for me at times but is good if you're fans of Steven Universe & hard core anime). Plus, I've been teasing a few facts about her for a while that I've been dying to make public. So, while I eventually want do a few colored illustrations, I thought I'd start of with a few sketches and poses to show her past & personality.

Basically, this shows Citrine in the present after she finds Peridot & it features a few images of her past during the war to show how she knew Rose Quartz & the others. As some people suggested, Citrine was originally a Crystal Gem along with Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, & several others; however, since she was the reckless "black sheep" of the team (somewhat similar to how Amethyst is now) she eventually betrayed them and joined forces with Homeworld. She was also more emotional too, but something happened during her betrayal that caused her to become the perky sociopath she is now. She also had a close relationship with Amethyst when she was a Crystal Gem, which is similar to Steven and Amethyst's relationship today.

P.S. It's kind of hard to tell since part of it's cut off, but in one of the sketches Citrine is calling Rose Quartz "Rosie." One thing she likes to do is give others cute nicknames, which is why she calls Peridot "Dottie."
