Is this the same girl from "Someday"? I should go back and look at her again. Of course I'm faving this one. She's beautiful.

No, she's from that space story. I already have 2 more sketches for the "Someday" story, but those won't be done until some day. Heh.

I think I remember her now. "Arrival," right? They were in a ruin being attacked by spaceships shaped kinda like cell phones. (I'm actually looking at the picture this time.) I love that picture too. Silly me, the "Someday" girl has lighter hair and a different face. I should go back and look at the pictures before I refer back to them.

Good pic; 37 layers?!!! uuff, man If you use this number of layers in this girl, I can't imagine how many layers you use with landscapes with or without people...

It looks good as it is, and she's cute ^^
though I think it would be a little better with slightly darker shadows and/or brighter highlights to contrast more with the black BG... just my 2 cents ^^'

I have so got to get some more RAM so I can use that many layers. I'm currently stuck with 5-6, or I have to wait ten minutes for my system to catch up after each stroke.

Really, Nelson? "Inside Kim's Jet" has 50 layers (Just counted them). That's Photoshop Elements 2.0 on a 900MHz iBook with 640 megabytes of RAM. Don't know how that compares to PC thingies, but I have no problem making strokes or even smearing stuff with a large smudge tool set on the "chalk" brush, which has to be computation intensive. I just use however many layers it takes to preserve my ability to change my mind about stuff with minimal trouble and haven't had to worry about it since I was using the 366MHz clamshell.
Don't know what kind of RAM you have, but RAM is cheap. Go get yourself a nice big chip.

The RAM is the ish. I just need to crack open this casing and put in another 512 or so (I've only got a 256 in it at the moment - which was fine when I was just writing.

Go to Edit > Preferences and change the ram allocation for the program to 80% of total ram. It might help. I think its factory setting is 60%.

I've got that maxed. When I bought this system, MSWord was of primary importance, and I didn't discover what a RAM hog PSP8 was until I learned how to use layers. At 256, I simply need more.
