That is my all time favorite.
A lot of pics. You never realize until the trip is over and some time passes.
My pocket is full of brass.Thank you.
P.S.I was coming home today, the Sun in the West and the Moon rising in the East.[Spectacular Display]
No cameras on the Interstate at 65 mph only in my memory.

I feel like I could step right into that picture and feel the pine scented breeze ruffle my hair, the bright sun warming my shoulders, as the wildlife scampered around me. The mountains are just beautiful, and the colors ar so crisp. Photographers have a gift to see the beauty that is already around them, the rest of the world just gazes on without really seeing until just a moment is provided for them.

Thank you.
You have just described the feeling of the Grand Teton.

I live in Pennsylvania! And ironically enough after viewing your pic that morning I went to one of the local restaurants and there above the booth was a picture of that very park. I was like wow, that is weird. I think your picture was better though. Well have a wonderful day!

No offense, but the Mountains sort of look pasted into the photo against the sky...

I don't know. I suppose it's the lighting, but the mountains look like they were cut out from another photo.. and then pasted onto another picture. o.O

It's a nice picture, there's no doubt about that :]

I -am- color blind, though, which -may- be why I am seeing this differently.

This picture is definitely an original snapshot. It is the light of the sun against the bright blue sky that gives the mountains the sharp edge appearance of being added to the picture. They are, indeed, original and not added.

ZJ did do some color enhancements which "might" have increased that look? Not sure. You can view the original image before the enhancements here [link]

God bless all

It's Wyoming's Grand Teton.
The Fence is the understated name.

Wow, that's cool. My family used to go there every vacation, well Austria mostly, but also the "authentic" place where Heidi lived. It's one of the most beautiful places in the world I think.

I grew up in the low mountains,The Appalachians.I could walk "up the hill" to here.
[link]
This is as taken.
Every thing was "up the hill"we never thought mountain.
I spend a lot of summer time in our West, one time a month straight.

Surprised you would mention Heidi one or maybe the first in our school.
Where I live now is known as "The Great Coastal Plain".Central New Jersey, rolling not hilly. My ID [link]

So, is this three higher iso film shots dig-man'd into one for the cool triple-zone effect?

Nice. I guess I'm not used to seeing film anymore, but I dig it. Makes me want to pull out my F5 and some BW800iso for some grainy goodness.

zjessez In reply to PortlandPhotography [2011-02-23 13:11:17 +0000 UTC]

I haven't used film for about 10 years and I put aside my AE1 for an Olympus 3000 Super Zoom that for a Kodak 2710 digital. No film for me.I don't think I ever used BW.
I have a box full of film pics several thousand from trips and vacations.I never bothered with them until DA. Never put them in an album except Glacier Park, never got around to it.My wife did Family stuff.I put on some shaky stuff like [link] and they asked to use it in a group feature?? one of my first vacations to Fla.So I just enjoy showing what I do and like.On vacations I would hand the camera off and say"How about you take Some"?
