I'm watching the old Corman's movies thoses days, I mean those he's starring in. Some movies can be bad, he's fascinating every time we can see him on screen.

I love alot of his Corman films, Especially Fall of the House of Usher, Tales of Terror and of course the Raven (Vincent Price , Peter Lorre , and Boris Karloff in one movie. WHATS NOT TO LOVE!)

Cool. I think in my DVD/video collection ,out of all the Vincent Price films I have I watch it the most(That or Great Mouse Detective.)

I learned a few years ago that Vincent Price was Ratigan, you know, being french I've seen this when I was a kid and it was dubbed in french so no Vincent Price for us !

Suprisingly, most people I ask dont know who he is but thats more due to the fact that most people my age would rather watch Friday or Mean Girls to a good classic.The only consistant is when I tell them he was in Edward Scissorhands as the inventor.

Ohhhhh! I have seen that one I just forgot the name ! Lol! Not one of my faves sadley , very surprising since it also has Lon Cheney Jr and them in the same film is just awesome when its good its good but I prefer some of the other Cormon films

Youd think H.P. Lovecraft , Edgar Allen Poe (Its also based on a Poe poem), Roger Corman,Lon Cheney Jr , and Vincent Price combined would make one of the greatest horror films ever but it its kinda forgetable. Now Cheney and Price are great but I barely remmeber it and Its not till the climax that anything good happens.So Price , Cheney, the Climax, and the oppening are good but the rest falls flat.
Now I have never read Lovecrafts work but his influence is every where in horror so that really makes it sad.He has had many movies based on his works but I have only seen this one and Die Monster Die(1965) with Boris Karloff which is sadley better though kinda cheesy but It keeps your attension and has creepy scenes despite not having the talent like Haunted Palace did and is one of Karloffs best roles.

I should watch this, Die Monster Die, thanks for telling me about this. (plus I love Misfits' song inspired by this movie)
You're right again, the opening of the Haunted Palace makes you think it will be epic, a shame it's just barely entertaining thanks to the actors.

I havent heard the song, but I might check it out.And you should check it out.The main hero is kinda bland and it gets silly but other then that its good.
Its just a shame that Haunted Palace isnt. It has more talent but it just was to much exposition which makes you bored to the point you still dont know whats going on. I was complaetely lost by the end.
And youd ythink HP Lovecraft and Vincent Price would go so well together!
