A lot of the instructions for making fake dreads are hard to understand so this is my attempt to make one that is easier for people to figure out.

I used this video nearly a year ago to make a set for myself. The first time I sealed them, I obviously did something wrong but ended up sealing them with a wet washrag and a flat iron and then dousing them in Aqua Net. They still start to fall apart but I just reseal them.
I have pictures on my myspace, here where I obviously added a lot more too them. I always get tons of compliments and refer people to your video when they ask.
I'm going to try my hand at double ended next..

omg i love this tutorial! its so helpful!! at the mo i've been making a few fake dreads out of some hair extension fiber, but the way i've been doing it has been a bit of a failure, so i'm off now to do it this way!^^ thanx for the tut!!!way helpful!!

i watched your vid earlier today, how random is it that I'd find you on here too! Anyway, i bought a load of synthetic hair about 20 seconds after watching lol. I've got a photoshoot planned in August and thanks to that vid i can have a propper hair doo for it!!! Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!

That's a really well done vid, I'm impressed. You could even take screen shots from it and make a regular tut, and it would work just as well.
When I had longer hair, I took yarn and braided it into my hair so that I had long braids, then as it grew out became dreads. And if some of the yarn parts fell out, I braided it in like you did to attach it back. It's fun making your own hair styles!
