Description
Well, their bodys are finish now,but what would Trixie be without the cape and hat or Vinyl without her glasses.
So I start with Trixies hat next.
Unlike normal I already put all the folding papers and .pdo files out there to build your own models, look in my gallery.
These are for my kids, we started to build them together, that is why these have a relativ low number of faces, but it was to complex for them,
maybe they will paint the models.

I wish there was a way to weather-proof things like these. I would totally(given unlimited time as well ) make a full Mane 6 set to put in my yard on special occassions (especially when the Google Maps car drives by)

I use acrylic colors to color my models,
after drying they supposed to be water-resistant / Water proof.
but I would not try it out
If you really would want to make a pony for outside,
I would propose this way to do it:
1. Build the model with pretty thick paper (I always use 300 g/m²).
2. use a thin layer of glassfibre and "acrylic one" on the model
3. paint it with acrylic paint
If you would do it that way, you get a very hard model that would resist anything, even some force.
"Acrylic one" is a pretty cheap way of reinforceing and it is non toxic.
If you would try that ask me again before, I have some tipps on using "acrylic one"

This is why I kind of wish comment editing worked here. Right after that other post I discovered a papercraft cosplayer testing a resin+fiberglass treatment for a Halo-style helmet. It all seems doable for me now except time and cost :/ Thanks for the reply nonetheless.

No problem, I tried resin too, but had problems with the fumes.
