Something random I've been working on, can't seem to keep the motivation up to continue with it though. What do you guys think? :<(will put this in scraps soon!)

to be honest, I quite like it this way. Especially if you've lost motivation, it's beautiful as is, I say!

I love the colors and the shapes their bodies make, but what's happening at the bottom is kind of lost (the way her dress is splayed out and how she's sitting) and it's hard to tell what's happening with that area. If you expanded the bottom of the canvas a bit and refined the folds of her dress I think it would clarify that area a lot more as well as create some really beautiful detail with the folds, and also give more hint to an environment if you showed more of the floor. I also think it would add a lot to the atmosphere and context if you had some miscellaneous clutter like buckets, bricks, tools, bloody rags, etc. in the background, because right now it's hard to tell where they are. I really love the colors you chose for this though, and your brushwork is gorgeous as always c8 If you ever get the motivation to go back to it, I'd love to see how it turns out 8]

Yeah, I know what you mean! I was lazy and didn't flesh out the lower part of the drawing properly - I'll try to rework the painting a bit, 'cause I can't seem to fix it as it is. It wasn't meant to be a dress btw, but I'll probably make it a dress now that you said it

I'm such a fan of your work, really love the dark, gritty brown tones. The blood looks really good too, great hue.

Thanks a lot man! I'm thinking of reworking the ligthning a bit since I grew tired of this, but I'll try to keep the original colours somehow
I've tried searching up programs and stuff for recording, I'm having a hard time finding out what I should use though.. Do you have any suggestions? Wouldn't mind recording when I paint, could be fun seeing the timelapse myself!

I always find Camtasia very handy, but it's not free so I googled a bit and found this: [link] sounds like it's a good product. But I can't say I've tried it myself yet. If you're a Mac user however, there aren't many free apps that do the trick, you might have to be a bit of a pirate for that..

Downloaded Camstudio nao, I can't get it to work though, crashes all the time

weird, seems to work pretty good for me, might actually switch from Camtasia to this.. haven't tried audio yet though
but, Camtasia has its own video-editing software, which makes recording and speeding up timelapses a breeze

First it crashed, and when I tried recording a second time it wouldn't let me save the file D: Dunno what's wrong, maybe I did something wrong... Will try it out again next time I paint :< Camtasia sounds pretty good haha, too bad I'm too chicken to go pirate :'<

It's supposed to be some kind of murderer who is slicing up the girls face. I guess I was kinda in an interesting mood when I started painting this. :C
