Hey guys! So I'm still drawing prototype for the "Lux Veritas" project ( more information in the description of the drawing of Solas Gambit)! The story is a high fantasy and there is a lot of monsters, creatures, demons but also fairies! Here is the first version of what you look like the "average " fairy.Tell me what do you think of the design! Critics, suggestions or a simple comment are welcomed ! Β

kinda looks like female fairy version ofΒ hinata shouyou from haikyuu but this is not important

She's got such a mischievous look, what could she be planning?
I like this a lot, all the colors mix so well and it's so crisp. That's definitely a feat.
I think the design is really cute, even based off traditional fairy garb. But maybe the clothes could use more color? It could be like leaves and flower petals, or different kinds of leaves so it has different shades of green? Maybe even leaves of different seasons so the clothes have gold and red and yellow but also lime and emerald green!Β

I'm happy that you like her face! You are right, I should of spend more time thinking about the clothing! You really have good ideas! I was thinking of how to make the fairies more unique, using flowers, leaves and different colors ,like you said , could be the best way to do that!
Also do you think I should stick with the childish look or make them more sexy and adult like?

You could think of natural elements to add to the clothes too! Pinecone seeds to make shoes, blades of grass to sew things together, pebbles to adorn, dandelion fluffs to apply makeup on, feathers to complement a look. That could bring so many colors into the picture!
I think their look should depend on their personality or their function? A childish fairy could care for the water currents and a more adult fairy could care for breeding animals and flowers, so on.
Sharing ideas is honestly so much, I'm always glad to help out.

I think you are right their look should depend on their function or their personality but unfortunatly the fairies appear in the story only during a chapter and there is only like two main fairies the others will be Β backround characters. But I'm still going to follow your advice and make them look different with a lot of colours!

Diversity is always a difficult concept, especially in art. Honestly, fairies can be manipulated into so many different interpretations. As long as you're pleased with what you have, go with it!!
