Its funny that in this game every character has uniqe fighting ability, Courage, Humanity, Charisma..then Jessica (the only female in the game) got stuck with Sex appeal :BOh if you have a PS2 and love RPG's buy Dragon Quest 8 its seriously an RPG-ers RPG

Actually that is quite a good point. With all this debating about feminism in video games I am really surprised they missed out a character like Jessica from Dragon Quest 8. Though I'm sure there was enough focus on the Sorceress from Dragon's Crown

Simple, she didn't start playing (probably still doesn't) video games until she started getting paid to complain about them. Wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't even know the DQ series exists.

I just got Dragon Quest VIII (already beat DQ9), and it moves so slow at the beginning I can't get to the part where you meet Jessica. I mean for pete's sake I haven't beaten the guy in the waterfall cave. Oh well, guess I'll just grind for levels and money for a while.
