It would nearly have to be a FULL BACK tattoo to get that amount of detail in a tattoo of that. I'm a tattoo artist.

so.. i had no idea this was on dA... i found it on google, but.. i got a tattoo of it.. most of it... no hook, and fan in hand instead of fish. the tattoo isnt finished, its a coverup, and just the outline so far. but... its a damn good drawing. if i woulda known i woulda asked first.

That's actually a tayuu headdress (courtesan) but tayuu are easily confused with geisha. It's beautiful work, the tattoo is lovely and detailed. I have to admit I winced at the nipple though, owie! XD

I had really hard time while choosing which one of your Geishas I like the best, really hard time.
