Uhm, okay. Might I just say this is a mighty piece of sex and Xukuth is going to pout forever because lil bro got to her first. )< ... Not that he doesn't pout already, anyway. Ahem. CURSE YOU NEBEL. ::shakes fist::
Your art is making me squeal. <3 I've been stalking you on dA regardless of my two year absence from Furc, and your style has changed so dramatically and gotte so amazing, you'd swear I was gone for ten years. I said it before and I'll say it again--I'm absolutely jealous of your ability to get better and transform your style so quickly. My wolves haven't changed at all in years. LOL

lol XUK HAS GOTTA BE QUICKER.
The changes dont feel quick at all. Mostly cause of the thousands of sketches I dont post or trow away, or make on napkins or draw with my finger in the air.

WHAT CAN I SAY HE GOT LOST. MEN HAVE NO SENSE OF DIRECTION.
Yeah, I understand that feeling. I draw all the time, to relieve stress or because I'm sad or because I'm bored. There must be a million trees cursing my existence right about now. Still, my style has remained relatively unchanged from two years ago, except that my positions aren't as wonky in some aspects. Your's, on the other hand, just seem to improve and improve every year. I'm quite envious, but really really proud of your work. <3 It's beautiful.

When you're drawing, do you just draw striaght from your head or with some reference material near by? I usually don't nessissarily draw STRAIGHT from the ref picture, but if I wanna draw something running, I'll pull up google images and leave the general search up so that I can pull from the 293572837458734 pictures the internet has to offer.

It depends on what I'm drawing. I use refferences to guide certain aspects of my art in the beginning, but with art I'm content with (like wolves, whales, sharks, horses, etc.) I usually just think it up. I may use a refference for a pose I'm not too keen on, to get used to the proportions, but I prefer being able to draw with my mind's eye.
I see what you're getting at, though. My art style hasn't changed much in the past few years, but not long before that I changed rapidly thanks to the help of refferences and tweaking my style.

I usually start with the idea in my head, and keep references of simliar poses, or just of the subject matter in general around. Its definatly helped me evolve at super speed. I can see a difference in my drawings from a few months ago and now.
