She acted like she didn't remember Rainbow, but I guess she can't show favoritism. But wait! Doesn't she kinda do that by making lead ponies and wing ponies?

Drill Sergeants sometimes sound totally different when in drill sergeant mode over their normal speaking voice, even when they are talking at a normal level.

Yeah...it does feel strange how she seemed so different from how she was portrayed in the previous episodes.
But rather than just having a rotten attitude, I think she has that attitude at the camp because the camp is like a "boot camp" and that means drill sergeants.

Her voice was too girly in this episode XP What were they thinking?
She was also just too bossy in this episode in my opinion, she didn't come off to me as "cool".

Spitfire was quite friendly in prior appearances, especially to Rainbow Dash. So why is she giving her as well as the other cadets a hard time? Well first off, to test their resolve. Notice Spitfire's satisfied smile at Rainbow Dash's response to her insult, an indication of approval. Plus, she's a drill sergeant on duty. You can make friends in your own time, but when your job includes weeding out the weak from your renowned military air force, friends and the like get no special privileges. This is boot camp, you earn your wings.
That sums it up for you?
