Um I can imagine him wearing a lab coat but not that suit or those shoes but good job anyway! Maybe you could make an ongoing fiction about him becoming a hedgehog and being sent to Sonic's world?

Funny you should mention that because I'm in the process of doing a fictional story about just that. It's set just after the events of Sonic X Season 2 where Sonic has to go back to his own world because of the "time freezing/stopping" thingamajig and Chris has trouble letting go.

How about the Wizard gives Chris a choice.Β He can make it so Chris can go to Sonic's world permanently without causing the two worlds to merge but in order to make this happen he has turn Chris into something that isn't of that world (aka an Anthro himself).Β The reason is because Eggman is only one person and as such isn't enough of Earth's presence to cause a merging.Β But if Chris goes as a Human as a well then there's no telling if it will be enough to cause a merging and time to stop.Β Therefore he gives Chris a choice.Β Either he stays on Earth and tries to re forge his relationship with his parents but he can never be with his best friend again (he loves Danny, Helen, and Francis but they don't understand him like Sonic and the others do) or he can sacrifice his Humanity and his life on Earth with his family in order to live his life with Sonic and his friends so he doesn't have to worry about ever being alone again?

I have a theory that Chris wasn't in Sonic's World long enough for a merging to start happening.Β It takes at least a year on Earth before a merge starts occurring and it could very well be that it was Sonic bringing parts of his world to Earth at the end of season 1 instead of going home (so Chris wouldn't have to say good bye to him yet) is what caused a merge to start happening, and that it wasn't even the characters' presence itself that was causing it.
Of course since this is fanfiction we can ignore that all together and have it so that it was the characters' presence that was causing it.

I was thinking about some of the other kind of powers that would manifest to Chris besides the natural ability of being able to run extremely fast and curl into a ball. Like his heightened senses and his intelligence for example. As a human Chris is already an exceptionally bright intelligent boy but combined with Sonic's speed it would make him "super" intelligent and that may even make him more smarter than Tails.
I was trying to think of how his powers would manifest because they wouldn't be instantaneous like Sonic's. Like how his speed would be when it first kicks in. I think that it would be good if everything around him seemed to slow right down to a crawl and then have him trying to make sense of what's happening to him.

I don't know if he should be smarter than Tails personally.Β The fanbase already gives him a lot (of unfounded I might add) of flak of "replacing" Tails' role as Sonic's best friend and for being "too similar" to Tails in the third season.Β Personally I'd think he should have some different ability...Like how about Chris becomes Silver appearance and abilities and all?Β That way it could still have Tails be useful while giving Chris a way to fight directly.

...And also I was trying to use a realistic, scientific concept on what would happen if Chris really did have Sonic's speed as a hedgehog. My theory is that it would accelerate everything in his body which would make him stronger, faster and more intelligent because naturally he'd be using his brain a lot more. And it would probably, most likely make him hyperactive as well like Sonic is most of the time. Sonic example: "I'M BORED, I CANT WAIT HERE, I GOTTA GO, GOTTA DO SOMETHING" Β (zooms off) XD

I think that I'm going about this all wrong. I should use my own interpretation and not worry about what the heck other people think because there's "always" gonna be someone that doesn't like the idea and someone who does like the idea.

I understand. Β Sonic and Chris are my favorite friendship pairing in this series and they are as close as brothers so I can see wanting to make them actual brothers.

No cos I want them to be closer than that. I want their relationship to mean something. Not just be about friendship. Blood is a strong bond. Anybody can create a hedgehog story with Sonic included but I want this to mean something. I really do.
If Chris was born a hedgehog from the start and was part of Sonic's family then that would be much easier and he obviously wouldn't need all of the complicated DNA manipulation and that.
If you don't understand then it's ok. I don't expect you to understand the way I feel about these two characters.
