This here's Little Miss Sunrot in the flesh! Since she was young Posey always had an odd fascination for dead things. Whenever one of the animals in Fluttershy's sanctuary passed she would always ask to look it over before Treehugger gave it a proper burial. This of course concerns her mothers, being soft and empathetic as they are, they were confused as to why their daughter saw death and something pretty and peaceful over scary. This makes it really hard for Posey to make friends, that and the long running history of hereditary anxiety in both of her mother's families left her a little ball of stress in almost every social situation. Throughout her school days Posey struggles in almost everything, she isn't particularly good in any of her classes aside from botany, and her inability to talk to others left her the victim of quite a bit of bullying. It gets bad to the point of posey ditching school a lot to avoid her classmates. In her teen years Posey begins to struggle with self harm after receiving her cutie mark, it made it even harder for her to not stand out in public. After a lot of contemplation, her mothers say enough is enough and pull her from school. From there they help her grow better at her talent and Fluttershy recruits an old mentor's daughter to help her better socially interact, as well as her older sister aloe working to lull her anxiety. (Which works immensely well)
As Posey grows older she grows as a pony, and starts to better embrace her talent as who she is. She enjoys working with things that arent-so-alive (which nails her a friendship with novella) and opens her own morgue. She is one of the best Morticians in the immediate Equestria, even if she doesn't usually spend more than 10 minutes talking to her alive customers, she lives striking up a conversation with the dead ones.. oddly, it almost seems like she stares into space when talking to them, perhaps they're talking back?

And that's my lovely pink horse that loves all things dead! As it is hinted, she can speak to the dead. (a direct mutation of fluttershy's ability to speak to animals)
Usually this is something only highly powerful unicorn mages can do, but this time a soft little Earth pony got the ability, and the most she does with it is host ghostly tea parties. She can see ghosts from as far into the past as she likes, which has led to her meeting some... interesting ponies and creatures alike.
