I think the hate is only because shes an alicorn. Which then screws everything up as 'all alicorns minus the main two, became alicorns.'

It's because she's an alicorn and Cadence wasn't born an alicorn(Canon wise she was made into an alicorn like Twilight, Cadence was born a pegasus before she became a princess). So people think she's just a hasbro money grab and that's why she's getting so much hate.
