Next to Tom lived a very sweet chicken named Ava. I do not know how it happened, but at some point she turned into an uber-conservative in my mind. (I imagine I used the same thought processes as whatever possessed me to think up gay cats.)

In my mind, Tom visited Ava every day for brunch, and they would have crepe, and cantaloupe slices, and maybe some iced tea. During, Ava would very passive-aggressively say things like, "So when are you going to settle down with a nice girl and have some darling babies?" and Tom would get flustered and grumble something about not being ready yet. Despite this, they were great friends.

Then Ava moved away from town. The end!
