This day felt like any other day, gambling, drinking, just business as usual for the psychotic little gnome named Napoleon. But this day is not just any other day, Its Napoleon’s birthday, but also the anniversary of his family’s demise. He dreads this day, a constant reminder of him failing to protect his family from the dire wolves, and the day he contacted an evil entity to save his family, but ultimately doomed them even more. Now with two demons in his life, the one in his head telling him to do awful things, and the demon in the bottle making him do awful things, Napoleon causes another bar fight, surprisingly not killing anyone in the process, but doing significant damage to the tavern. Some time passes and we find Napoleon in the drunk tank drunkenly playing solitaire with his magic cards and singing his daughter’s favorite song about her pet cat named Sméagol, trying to forget his past, but no amount of booze can make him forget. This could be the influence of Zuggtmoy, or his own guilt, but either way, Napoleon just wants the day to end. Cut over to Jhank commissioning the gnome at the tri crossing to build a special gift for Napoleon. It wasn’t cheap, but anything to remind Napoleon that even though he lost his old family, he still has his new one to stay by his side. Cut back to the drunk tank, we see Caster “bailing” Napoleon out again and walking him home. At their casino, Ha-Nuh-Nah and Honey Fae-Bay, the fey dragon the party picked up, were decorating for Napoleon’s arrival while Shroomy and Quetzy, his pet quetzalcoatlus which he hatched from an egg, were just hanging out, then Jhank walks in with a robot duplicate of Napoleon. Napoleon and Castrer made it to the casino, and Napoleon saw the lifeless robot standing right next to the cards table. Confused, but happy, even though he wants to forget this day, he’s still glad that his friends will not forget about him. He laid a hand on the machine then its eyes started to glow green and it came to life, then something weird happened. There was a strange surge of magic emanating from the auto gnome, then it shot out a fire ball destroying the casino, miraculously everyone survived. This could’ve been a result of Napoleon's own random surges of magic, now affecting the newly alife automaton who has no control over its newly acquired abilities. In order to pay off the damages, Robo-Poleon’s new job in the party was to advertise the casino by any means necessary, even if it involves going to space and visiting different planets with a ragtag group in a new party and stopping an intergalactic war.

This is a remake of a character I made for Dungeons and Dragons. The group I played with finished our D&D campaign and decided to continue the story in Pathfinder. We had a shopping spree session and I bought The Cloak of the Bat for Robo-Poleon and was inspired by The Dark Knight Returns comic cover.
