As for orange being a sad color it might be because it isn't as bright as yellow, therefore not as cheery? *shrugs* I don't know, but now that I think about it, I can see where you're coming from.

I definitely love the layering of it and stuff, but I think it would be really cool if you could make them fan out more. It might look a tad more realistic.
