Well that took a while...This was done in open canvas, start to finish, the actual file is nearly 30 Megs right now, it has well over 200 layers including paste and duplicate layers.
It's version one because I hope to improve it, hopefully with some feedback from you people *looks at people*
So yeah, feedback, yes, it would be nice if you could give me some of that... please? *Makes puppy eyes*

I love the orange metalic affect, and the way several images repeat themselves (e.g. the grass in the forground and the 'field of spears' in the background), not to mention composition as a whole. However, it seems a bit 'symetrical'.

i guess all i can say is that you could focus a bit on the fact that nothing will be as light as the highlights on the most reflective object nearest the lightsource. then as things curve away from the light depending on their material the shadows will grow differently (fluid shadows on metal, soft fuzzy shadows on fur/rough leather/cloth etc.) i dont think his needs much more work, but im confused by the highlights on the main character as compared to the horde around him. i dont see any white light sources, only red so why are his highlights not tinted ed?

Wow... amazing. Love the color scheme and above all the use of higlights and shadows. The background lights reflects very well throuhout the entire picture!

Wow... jeez, you want comments on how to improve THIS? Kinda like asking asking Iron Butterfly to add on a few more minutes to "Inna Gadda de Vida," huh? ...Yeah... that didn't make... much sense... Okay forget the analogy.
Anyway, this piece is already supreme when it comes to perspectives and just out and outdesign. I really dig the basic coloring, just red and black with only highlights of yellow and green (and I'm using just general color names because I can't be buggered to give specific color names). However, these are just some things I noticed- as you asked to ee what could be improved upon: first the lighting, while awesome, also needs to be realized a little more in some places. For example, the large- what I'm assuming to be- green claw at the bottom center has light apparently coming from both the top AND bottom, as does most of the armor on the other, more prominent characters hugging the borders. If there is a reflection coming from the " stream" below, it would be a little diluted. Also you might just want to try taking out the "lower-glows" and just have the shadows end at the top of the plates of armor instead of giving them a glowing effect- unless that is what has intended. Also, something about the main character- the one with the chained weapon- bothers me... the hair. I haven't bothered tried sketching it out so I may be incorrect, but I'm thinking of Newton's third law, action and reaction. If he is jerking the chain BACK to create the spiraling of the chain, then his hair should be flowing the OPPOSITE way.

maybe make the enemy soldiers not so red as the rest of the picture is .. darken them some to make them realize more evil

Very nice. 200 fucking layers? Good lord, I think the most I've done was like 3, lol.
As far as some critique, I'd say it takes abit of looking at it to make the lower body look about right. I think it might be alittle off but if you really look at it it still works. Another thing would be detail on the main characters face, maybe alittle more. Great chain, great sky, the armors are pretty good, they may be done alittle better, like the closer ones, but I really wouldn't know exactly how.

this is *great!* you just brought the viewer into the thick of the action with the perspective this was done in...
not only that, but one can feel the tension of the moment as the armored beasts approach... speaking of armor, excellent chrome effect... what makes me like it even *more* is that you chose to do this almost entirely with red and black tones...
and for some reason, it also has this blacklight/tron sort of feel to it, too... i think it's the highlights on the armor and whatnot...
anyhoo, excellent composition!

the perspective, and composure on the central character from the waist down is abit questionable... but the more used you get to drawing acurate poses the less you will encounter problems...
The chain is a great touch aswell
