Description Still working on stepping back from the subject material and creating more complex interactions and layered scenes. This is probably my biggest collaboration yet.

Christian for glass-blowing (that's a $2000 glass pipe attached to court's head).
Scott for metal work and costume design (rachel's wearing his dress and ram helmet, the table is covered with his betal abstractions, and Kyla is sitting in a welded bowl.
Court and Rachel for modeling, providing some clothing and wigs.
Kyla for posing and make-up.

One Word. WHOA. JR, this is probably the most complex thing I have seen you do. I take it this is a composite. I love the focus confusion. Very dynamic and I think very well done.

A composite? Definitely not. It's one frame. I can show you the raw if you'd like. Thanks for the comment though I'm definitely trying to push complexity. I did do a composite, actually, although I usually hate them. For some reason I tried something and then got carried away. Check it out .

whoa! that is nuts. It looks so "finished", you know what I mean. I'm confused on the focus issue. the girl in front is in focus, then the bowl and foot and the table going back is out of focus, then the people in the back are in focus. ?? selective photoshop focus? This just look really (both) fantastic. I'd be interested to see the original, just to see the -post process- really jump. you are doing some things that I would like to do (either post process or lighting-wise) that looks great.

I think I may have figured it out. You can view a jpg of the original .raw image here . What I think it is is that I am shooting down a little, and the plane that their heads are on are more similar to the plane that the the wood is on. I'm a little puzzled, but it came out of the camera! Hehe. Hope that's beneficial.

ok, I can see that. It makes a little more sense. It was just weird at first, when I thought it was a comp, it made more sense. But I see. and the word I was looking for earlier was "polished". they both look so polished. very nice.
