Super cute! It looks planned. Like you trained him specifically for this shot. Or at least bribed him.
I wish even one of my 3 would sit still long enough for a picture like this.

Truly adorable... it says a lot about your character when a tiny creature such as a sugar glider has total trust in you.
I was considering getting a sugar glider this summer when my husband and I move into our new place. Any suggestions as to cage size?

the bigger the better, right now I have 3 living together in a cage that's 30"x36"x70". (one f them is pregnant) If you're serious about getting one you should really get two though, they're amazingly happier and more active with a buddy. there's a great forum called glider central you should check out too, good info on diet and cage building and just about everything you need including ads for joeys

After experiencing one first hand, I have decided it is the right pet for me. However, I want to do everything right, since they are such tiny and sensitive creatures.
You have 3, and one is pregnant? Wow, you have your hands full!
Getting just one sounded good, but you're right... two would probably be better. Most animals are much happier with a companion. (This will give me leverage to get my husband one too... )
I'll check out that forum as well. Thanks so much for the advice!

sugar gliders especially need a companion, they're highly social by nature, if you do get just one you have to be willing to spend at least 3 hours a day with it, breeders will usually give you a better deal if you get too also. good luck if you get one, they're hard work but totally worth it!

I sort of figured that... my sister's friend pretty much wears her little sugar glider everywhere she goes. That thing sticks to her like glue! Probably because she is the little critter's only companion.
I'm thinking this June. Thanks again! If/when I do get one I'll post a picture!

whoa! the great mealworm famine...

well crickets are just as good i'm sure. i used to get those when i had frogs and lizards. one day one of the cats knocked over the cricket tank and they all got out... that was not fun.
