For sure. Even a Bill Gates/Tiger Woods/michael phelps has shit to deal with. But, being able to do something that is basically your hobby for a living... Man, that has GOT to count for something. Remember that next time you're on the 25th straight hour of a marathon race to beat a deadline.
Anyways, here's hoping you get (lots) more good news than bad, and keep sharing your amazing creations with us.

I think I'm almost in love!
No, really, very beautiful shot!
I like angle, from where you took it, and the wind blowing her hair very prettily!
And again, even if she is a bit darkened, it makes the photo only more dramatic, with this bright sky and waves, polishing the stones behind...
I can clearly see her eyes and her beautiful smile, not to mention everything else That is what matters.
...uh, yeah, so I think the photo is good!

I think it's only fair that I take a moment to compliment your model... Katia is simply gorgeous! For what it's worth, I think she's sexy without losing her elegance and style, and her character is more than just a beautiful body, even from just these few photos, I can tell you both had a great time working together. You're lucky... very lucky, to have an opportunity like this.

Swimsuit shots are somewhat difficult, as you're walking a fine line of grace, beauty and contemporary style, which can often go too far to the overly-gratuitous side of things, which is often not as flattering as a slightly more conservative approach. However, that being said, this is a great shot... the Black and White is the biggest feature here, and again, you've managed to implement it effectively. The soft tones of her skin given a contrast boost, and it accentuates her lovely curves and amazing figure. The shadows are excellent against the grey tones, which switches the emphasis away from the prominent features, allowing for a closer inspection of the model's body.

As well as the B&W, I am compelled to mention the backdrop, which again is very nice, with the rocks providing some nice divisions, and the sky almost seems to be flowing around her body.... a great sky-capture in addition to the rocky sections, and of course that wonderful billowing hair make it seem as if she's part of the scene, as opposed to simply placed in it. The highlights in the whitewash again provide nice contrasting elements, and are again placed nicely across her body.

However, I think the overall image is just a little too dark, I had a quick mess around with the levels, and a slight curve histogram correction and some tweaks to MidTones and Contrast/Brightness yielded some very interesting results. I'm sure you could improve this a little with some minor adjustments, but the overall image is still amazing... I've been looking at it for nearly an hour now, and I still think it's astonishing...

I don't know which I like more, your animations or your photography, they're both incredible in their own right! Keep it up... both of them!

I am stunned about how much attention you actually paid to this work. and yea.. its a bit dark, but I am using LCD and it was fine on my end till i saw it on another person's computer. In any case, i like what you got to say, therefore will add you to the friend list. Stick around and make some animation!!

Feonix-Lancaster In reply to zoomzoom [2009-04-14 21:16:28 +0000 UTC]

I pay a lot of attention to everything, and yes, my screen was a bait dark at the time, but with brightness up, it still looks as if some areas are too dark... a few minor tweaks to Brightness/Contrast were all it took when I had a bit of a mess about with the levels.

And yes, I've got some more animations planned, as soon as I learn a bit of flash. Should turn out well... and I might be able to get some scenery renders done in Vue this month... perhaps.

just do in Adobe Image Ready... I do my animation previews in it.

Feonix-Lancaster In reply to zoomzoom [2009-04-15 10:21:07 +0000 UTC]

I'll look into Image Ready, Adobe generally have high-quality products. They're a bit expensive though... and my system isn't cut out for extensive rendering... a few seconds of fairly low-grade stuff is about 2 hours.

I'll be getting a bit of an upgrade soonish, so it won't be so bad in the future.

Pose and hair do the dynamism here... Very well done. The model shuld be a bit more lit, but-s okay. By the way, she-s very pretty. I know russians already are damn pretty!!!!!!!!! Check this out: [link]

well. that in french... but sexy.
and yea.. i know the she needed more light... it looked fine on my LCD, but when I looked at it from CRT monitor she was darker...

xAgNO3x In reply to zoomzoom [2009-04-09 16:09:35 +0000 UTC]

yeah bro, CRT and LCD are absolutely different stuff. CRT needs lights turned off in order to see a more contrasty and saturated image, but the problem of CRT is that any light that comes from any direction reflects a lot in the CRT surface, producing a "washed" image, without contrast and without colors. Also, the image itself modifies itself. I mean, if you draw a black spot over a white background, the white pixels from the CRT matrix will invade the black spot, the same happens in the other way around. That doesn't happens in LCD Displays, that's why you will always see sharper and much contrasted and saturated image on an LCD, and due the matte surface, you will get not reflections and you can easily work in any kind of environmental lighting (ambient or artificial). A tip: never edit a picture in CRT, the consistency of brightness is affected even for the minimum light enviromental light you could have around.
If you want to work with accuracy, an LCD above 1K usd is the perfect option. In fact, a NEC monitor around 3K usd is a professional one. They displays a very wide color gamut. Or, an Apple Cinema Display also will do a good job, but this one only displays the sRGB color gamut (which is the smaller one). Cheaper monitors doesn't show neither the sRGB.

About the video, the sexy girl is Russian, but the add is from France

I have a nice monitor 22" LCD by Sumsung with 2ms Response Time that cost me $260. Works just fine. it had very top reviews and does its job very well.

xAgNO3x In reply to zoomzoom [2009-04-10 14:52:46 +0000 UTC]

But the trick is in the cmdยฒ, the contrast aspect ratio, how wider is the view angle and the gamut the monitor is able to display. A NEC one is able to display more colors than the Adobe RGB 1998 color space, for example, and most monitors just less than sRGB. I bough an Apple cinema Display few months ago, and in comparisson with what I had before is tremendous! Much more depth and colors And also, the whole screen has exactly the same brightness! Absolutely a great monitor Yeah, it's not a NEC, but it shows, at least, the whole sRGB gamut
