I don't like going to a ball, but I understand why other people do. This is very pretty. If the woman in the art work asked me, I'd consider it, but probably still go to the beach instead.

oh..... hmm .... this is making me think .... why do you not like going to
a ball ...... afraid of dancing ? Or another reason .. well and then I agree
with you ... like the party I was at last night ..... loud music .. no chance
to talk and get to know people. But after I moved to sit in the bar ... where
you did not hear the music so much ... I really enjoyed myself ... I got
to talk to several people ... and I had fun ..
I do love to go to the beach too .... but there you are more or less
on your own ... or the ones you are with ... you rarely get to talk to
other people ...

At my first birthday party given to me by my parents, I hid under the table. I guess I found it confusing. Even today, I don't understand how people enjoy being at a loud party if they can't hear each other speak. It makes me shrivel up. That's why I enjoy taking groups of people into the mountains. We get exercise and we can hear each other. I think it's not the ball or party I don't like, but the noise and confusion.

Then we actually agree and are on same level .. once again
I enjoy dinners where you are around 8-6 people at the most -
maybe 10 and 12 works well too if everybody knows each other
already.
The Danish way is .... that you sit at the dinnertable for 4-6 hours
so lots of time to talk and feel like a group ... so after the dinner
there is no confusion and of course having the music after the
dinner at somewhat normal level ....
But I do understand also what you are saying about your
mountain-climbing groups
