Description
The Spirit of the Lillies - here called Lady of the Lilly.Even painted on a wall that is falling apart - her face
is still shining and looking fresh.
Of all my supporters there are some I will give a special thanks to.
It is those that are here because they love art - they do not submit
any art - but they constantly are there with their comments and favs,
giving fabulous support that I can only thank you for.
So I deciced that each of them will get a dedication in my next uploads -

I've been trying to think of a way to express how this one makes me feel without sounding silly. Well, I can't, but to say she's has classic beauty without being a "20 year old nymph" and such wisdom in her eyes.
You continue to truely amaze me with your work.

LOL ....... as I sat there making this one ..... that actually took 12 hours to make -
I was sitting smiling for myself ... thinking if I should call it : Lori Help !!
Because ....... it is a funny thought .... that you take old pics and restore them
fix them up ..... take out cracks etc.
And we take new pics and try to give them cracks and make them look old.
A funny thing ... to think about really.

The treatment that you've given this work really gives it the feel of a classic renaissance portrait.

That was exactly what I was trying to do .... trying to see if I put enough textures on there -- up onto
the almost ridiculous - if I could accomplish that feel and look.
At first it just was a big mess - lol - as you can imagine .. each layer had to be special treated in
several ways ... colorwise .. masking something out .. etc.
I think I have around 10 textures on it ... so it started out as just an experiment on another picture
then transferred to this one ... then finding out it did not come out exactly as on the experimental
piece. So more corrections were done on each single layer.
It all ended up taking just around 10-12 hours to make.

Oh my goodness... I love the colors! It looks watercolored, too. The work you did on this is phenomenal. Tiger lilies are one of my favorite flowers too. So many memories attached.
