This is one I can't quite discern. Is it some sort of inset marble structure (pool). I can see the frozen water.

No, it's an entirely natural ice formation. Not sure what kind of weather conditions caused it, though. This was a small forest pond we came across while hiking.

At first that looked too perfect to be anything created naturally, but I was obviously mistaken. That's really nice.

Been a long time since I'd been hiking. Can't wait til June. Going to Washington (state) and I will be. Several mountains to explore
