I had a request to make a tutorial on how I draw realistic hair in my pieces so here it is! I will admit, its not the best or most intuitive tutorial but it should help you out at least a little bit, any specific questions on it I would be happy to answer
I think I'm going to make more tutorials and post em up here every so often so stay tuned! PS: you will probably have to download the picture to actually read it all, its kinda big.

Did you seriously first smudge the hair of the original pic just to draw it all over again?

Had to do what I had to do to make the tutorial :/ came out alright though, it's still very close to the way it looks when I start on hair, an amorphous blob that I run with to create the final product, so it works for educational purposes

Once I learn how to do textures like skin and clothes, then I will definitely use this to help me with hair on people. How long does it usually take you to do a piece?

sometimes when I draw Midna, I forget to do the runes on her leg, or I flip the black and white pieces on her leg. Other times I flip her helm, and forget to flip the rest of ehr! She's hard to draw, but it's fun,

Sadly I can't use it because I'm not much of an advanced drawer (Yet...), But when I get better, I'll definitely use it in the future! Great work!
