I remember the air in Sri Lanka being a very warm shade of yellow when it was sunny - this photo I guess is a mixture of what it was like, of cheap poorly stored film, and my memories of the Bay of Bengal
(isn't that a great geographical name!)

Β it's always a mixture isn't it. never an expected one, there is always a mystery factor, one we can't control.

we went there after Naples almost 2 years ago (2 years in November), after our meeting in Florence.
we lived and worked in our friend's hostel all summer and managed to save enough money.
[ it wasn't very expensive, but we were very broke afterwards anyway
we spent a month travelling around and it felt like a short month - I'd really like to go back.
yes, I think that's what makes the name so cool. it sounds triumphant!
