There once was a little girl on the outskirts of Thorns. Her wealthy parents doted upon their beloved daughter, but she never felt like she belonged. She scorned her toys and little dresses, and looked upon her nanny like a a wolf eyes a lamb. Then the disappearances occurred... In the end, the young lady heard that Thorns had fallen to the dead, intrigued, she finished playing her games of torture with her family and staff, and set fire to their plantation. On the road, she met a tall man in dark clothing and offered to trade her name for what she sought.

The Maiden with the Mirthless is one of the most vicious enforcers in the court of the Mask of Winters, a lash for her fellow Death Knights and a hunter of the Exalted who dare approach the City of the Dead without proper introductions. None make the same mistake twice.

Maiden is an Abyssal of the Dusk caste.
