Yeah she really is all over the place. The question was "who would beat Mandy in a battle of wills" and The green Lantern was used as an example which made me realize that Mandy with the power ring would be unstoppable.

I'm a big fan of Granny Weatherwax. I think when it came to stare-off Granny would beat Mandy. Granny has lots more experience with scarelogy.

I wouldn't know, I haven't read it. I did consider though how Mandy's brain over powered the Evil Meteor from inside it's stomach.
I always found Mandy's indomitable will a little contrived. I would have been nice if her stubbornness had come back to bite more often or if her unshakeable demeanor crumbled when she found herself in a place where she had no "friends" to exploit. The whole series of Mandy starring down demons from hell was all made worth it to see Mandy screaming in terror from the Nightmare visions in the first movie.
