Thanks! I just use a harder/lighter (H range) pencil lead, the darker/ softer (B range) ones are more prone to smearing.

I use 11x17 inch canson comic book art board. There are many other varieties from Blue Line Pro, but I found the canson board first and I'm just used to it.
