Super fractal.. not like a fractal at all it's like a photo from the inside of a modern submarine window facing toward the see

Zueuk In reply to baba49 [2006-03-17 17:42:40 +0000 UTC]

hehe thanks this is funny but actually this isn't so easy to say - are you inside or outside the submarine this fractal looks almost the same if turned inside-out

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

baba49 In reply to Zueuk [2006-03-17 18:00:00 +0000 UTC]

ohhh I had the feeling from looking from inside out

intriguing forms! I could never figure out how to use apophysis... I'm a programmer and I couldn't understand heads or tails about the coding for apophysis fractals. and I couldn't even get a fractal display bigger than a postage stamp... good work here though.

hmm funny I never thought about it ...maybe because I didn't like the movie-version

Deborah-Valentine In reply to Zueuk [2006-03-12 15:28:53 +0000 UTC]

yeah i didnt like the movie version either.

worst thing was IMO - Zaphod Beeblebrox who looked just like an ordinary human
some things just can't be done in the movies

i have never been a sam rockwell fan anyway... yeah they could have done alot better with many things. the same people who did the mondochirans and zorg's friends in the 5th element also did the creatures who had terrible poetry.... i forget their names.

Zueuk In reply to Deborah-Valentine [2006-03-13 13:51:29 +0000 UTC]

hmm, I guess the 5th element was more lucky then
(for not having a book series behind it with all this army of fans all over the world )

Fantastic Peter
cannot wait to test the "d"
Finally Apo does more today than UF

thank you

Apo and UF are too different to compare, but Apo is evolving and I'm going to give user even more power in the future!

MartinBelgium In reply to Zueuk [2006-03-12 18:39:27 +0000 UTC]

I know the difference but your result are so amazing that it "tends" to the same kind of "purity"
I am longing to read your notes and test the d version ..
Some TUT would be more than welcome
All the same ...

gamma/brightness correction - it was quite a low-contrast render...

cabbie666 [2006-03-08 05:27:22 +0000 UTC]

Nice. Great colors and the shodows give it nice depth. Was it Apophysis only or was some post render work done?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zueuk In reply to cabbie666 [2006-03-08 07:29:19 +0000 UTC]

thanks

I often adjust gamma after rendering - this can be done in Apo but it isn't too comfortable there
