Description This drawing here is an independent project I did for my drawing course at college. For my project I wanted to do two things: experiment with various drawing utensils, and practice drawing jeans, which are difficult for me to draw. A friend of mine was willing to model for me so it was a lot easier than it otherwise would have been. Also, I decided to split the entire drawing into several sections, each section being drawn with a different utensil.

Over all, I am very happy with how this whole drawing came out. I put a large amount of time into this and it really shows. I think I captured the face especially well. the only areas I was unhappy with were the sections drawn in ink. I found it nearly impossible to shade using pens and markers.

Oh, and the materials used were: Pens & Markers, Charcoal Pencils, Graphite Pencils, and Charcoal.

I adore how the shoes turned out. Faces are so tricky but I think you did a decent job. I think it'd be interesting if you ever did a project like this again, to have the breaks in medium more defined, like as if there's an invisible grid over the drawing delineating and regulating such transitions.
