Alana creeps and places a gifted envelop on Shadows Bed, quickly exiting before he returns from his nightly run. Closing the door softly behind her, then makes way to the living room settling down in front of the fire pit. Draping a warm blanket around herself. An awkward silence took over as Tails sits on the couch near by.

Tails: "Hope you know what you're doing."

Alana: "Yeah, me too..."
She finishes with a nervous chuckle.
"Thanks for the help, you know how I am when it comes to computers."

Tails: "No problem, at least your not as bad as Sticks"

Tails/Alana chuckles.

Amy and Sonic Walk into the picture

Amy: "You both ready for tomorrow?"

Tails: "Of course, but you should be asking Sonic that. You know how he love doing anything at the last minute."

Sonic: "Hey! Not this time. Learned my lesson last year."
Shivers.

Amy: "Yes, yes he has."
Sly Ginning.

Giggles/Chuckles

Sonic: "SO!...Watcha get me?"
He asks Excitingly.

Amy: "Sonic no, you can wait until tomorrow."

Alana: "Well, I'll be cooking Breakfast, Tails taught me some basics about the kitchen and I've been practicing."

Sonic: "Yesssss! Heh, would have never though I'd be a Bug eater, but once you get past the legs and head it's like eating a Shellfish.
Those Grub Dogs are to die for."

Tails: "Think you'll give it a try this time Amy? Insects are low on calories and great for your health."

Amy: "Heh, heh, we'll see Tails."
She answers nervously.

Amy:"This would be You," Gestures to Alana " and Shadows first Christmas here right? I know we all got you gifts."

Alana blushes ducking her head slightly hiding her smile beneath the blanket.

Amy: "But did any of you get Shadow anything?"

Sonic: "Eeeehhh, he doesn't seem like the Christmassy type, but I got him Shoe Polish"

Amy: "I got him a Quill Comb and Body Mirror."

Tails: "I gave him an IOU coupon for the tune up of his Hover Skates, I don't think Sticks got him anything but I believe Knuckles offered
his services to clear out all the weeds/over growth from his patio."

Sonic: "Well, Alana did you get him anything?"

Alana: "Ahhhh.... O_O;;;;"

Tails: "S-she got him a, sentimental gift."

Sonic: "Oh, well, what it is then?"

Amy and Sonic focus all their attention on Alana, she sits quietly trying to muster up the Courage to speak. But before she could let out a word footsteps began to fill the silent air.

Shadow with no eye contact to anyone makes his way to his room stopping at his door.
Noticing the awkward silence and the feeling of all eyes watching him, his back still facing everyone he lets out a Strong stern
"What?"
Tilting his head slightly to the side.

Breaking the moment of silence,

Sonic: "Ready for Tomorrow? Hope you got me something good.~"
Answering jokingly.

Ignoring the question Shadow enters his dark covered room, softly closing the door behind him.

Sonic: "We start opening presents early! So don't sleep in!"

Shadow replies with the locking of his door.

Sonic: "Heh, jerk."

Amy: "Sooo?"
Focusing back to Alana.

Alana gets up letting the blaket drop and gather around her clove hooves sending her into a slight shiver and whispers between the ears of Sonic and Amy.

RANT!
To having Shadow be a Hedgehog with Amnesia that still has an anger problem but can't remember why in Sonic Heroes.

To a Hedgehog that feels that what's holding him back from moving on isn't that he can't accept what happend in the death of Maria, or forgive and live life humbliy for the both of them "Maria/Himself".

But to completely drop and forget the Old Shadow that Maria once knew, the stern and determined melancholic Hedgehog who has fate. With a HardShell but is kind and earnest that just wants to protects the life of his friend.
And become a Jerk that has no reasons to be pissed the hell off if he dropped his past life anyway.

Sonic/Shadow is suppose to be for kids, can you imagine if Disney pulled this crap in their movies, oh wait, they did, The Lion King. Simba tried to forget his old life but in the end he was still miserable till he learned and Accepted his past and move on, and Simba was the one with the biggest problems. He thought he killed his own Dad.
