NimbusMy thoughts are like clouds.This is an illustration for one of my little short stories: 'Nimbus: My Thoughts Are Like Clouds':
Nimbus: my thoughts are like clouds
My thoughts are like clouds
hung by a thread.
They're here and there
there are clouds everywhere!
But they've already fled
away from from my head.
Yes, my thoughts are like clouds.
Innocent and white
gloomy and blue
so many different kinds of hue!
Flying high as a kite
only coming down at night.
That's why my thoughts are like clouds
hung by a thread.
Quiet and loud
I can't get them out!
Head in the clouds? There are clouds in my head!
And I can't make them mine.
My thoughts are flying by.

This makes a lot of sense to me. Because when people look at cloud, for some reason it makes them think. I think of life during those times, and at the same time admire the clouds. I like the way you drew this and shaded this. It is a very simple look that fits it very well. It reminds me a lot of children stories.

Love the friendly, contemplative atmosphere between the boy and the cat (and the cloud.

I really love the vignette effect you applied to this image. It really helps to accentuate the idea of a dream state or deep thought. The colors are very subtle which is perfect for this piece. You did a great job with the pose of the boy and cat that allows the viewer to see them as thinking and wishing without actually being able to see the faces of the subject. The only thing that feels out of place here to me is the bokeh-esque circles in the sky. However they are very faint and not too distracting. Great piece!

VERY pretty and Nostalgic. One of those pieces that just makes me want to fall asleep in a poppy field like in The Wizard of Oz... And never wake up. I know, that would technically be dying, but I Have a strange sense of what would be peaceful to me... I am NOT suicidal, I'm just weird.

This is like a children's book, and I mean that is all the good ways. It's got a really dreamy, imaginative feel to it, also kind of.... sad? I think people don't do that so much anymore, just sit and admire the world. Simple and really nice, like watching a good short film.
