or do you sketch in color, clean it up, then make it pretty?

for these comic pages i sketch, ink then colour instead of the other way round, only because i want to go at the pages as fast as possible.
i would rather do a painterly style, but that usually means lots of time spent on rendering ;c i have yet to find an economic solution..
